Description
A comforting and creamy dish combining tender chicken and fettuccine in a rich Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 chicken breasts, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine: Start by boiling a pot of water. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook it according to the instructions on the package. Once it’s al dente, drain it, and set it aside.
- Prepare the chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once heated, add the diced chicken. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, which usually takes about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Add garlic: After the chicken cooks, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about a minute until it becomes fragrant.
- Create the sauce: Next, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Incorporate parmesan cheese: Stir in the grated parmesan cheese gradually until it melts and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to suit your taste.
- Combine with fettuccine: Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce and mix well.
- Serve and garnish: Serve the fettuccine hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Serve with a crisp salad, garlic bread, or steamed vegetables. A sprinkle of red pepper flakes can elevate the dish.
