Description

Indulge in crispy, golden Belgium waffles that are fluffy on the inside and perfect for any breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: Whipped cream, berries, or syrup for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, beat the eggs with milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  3. Lightly grease your waffle iron with cooking spray or butter. Pour enough batter onto the center to cover the grid and cook for about 3–5 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  4. Remove the waffles and serve immediately topped with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Ensure not to overmix the batter for the best texture. Keep waffles warm in the oven if making a batch.
